Hello I'm Samuel, I'm from Colombia and I love soccer. Last year when I saw that there was a class called Media Studies I got intrigued by it , so i decide it to enroll in it and see what was it about. I am a big media user I love watching movies and shows one of my favorites being Dexter .
From the days that I've been in Media studies I've learned that media is not only movies and videos, but media is way bigger than that. It is a way of communicating and I've had a great experience learning about the different types of media. What I hope to gain from the portfolio is experience for the future to look back and see how it all started.
For my product I'm pretty sure I'm going to make a short film opening because its an interesting idea to showcase all of what we are going to learn in media studies. I have some good ideas that can be embodied into a movie or a short film. For me a short film is not only for entertainment but also its a great way to transmit a message , the its impact can be amplified through all the technical work that a film uses.
The reason to why I include this movies is because is a great example of how a movie can get pass the typical superficial entertainment and get into deeper messages all with the help of technical work. Can be a great model for my film.
