Intro
Today was our first day of filming out opening, we went to Santi's house to get the house scene done. We first had to use his bed to film the shot of our main character waking up from a bad dream.
Shooting
For our first part we used Santi's bed and we have our main character suddenly waking up from a nightmare.
Since the shot was recorded from an high angle , Santi had to stand on the bed while Laila laid there practicing how she was going to wake up. At first we didn't know what angle we wanted to use, so that Laila felt good and liked the final shot. We filmed it in .5 so that you could see more on the screen.
Here is our final take for this first part of the film , the editing should be easy we are just going to put a piano sound as soon as she wakes up.
Overview
Having this scene helps us understand that sometimes to get a shot you have to go out of your way to picture exactly what you have in mind. We wanted to the aerial shot because it was a great way to showcase our main character waking up from a bad dream. Not only gives ground to the rest of the film , but also start strong already showing signs of what our main character suffers from. It taught us that a film can start in many ways and what the audience first sees is what they are going to feel all throughout the film.
